Update Bios from f29 to f2b?

Can someone tell me whether Bios update F.2B will actually be an improvement over my current bios F.29?

Except for occasional router connection slowdown at night, (usually after 12 or so when everything seems to hang, but this does not happen if I use a network cable though), everything else is fine.

 This update was suggested my HP support assistant. I checked driver update page on Hp's site for my model (dv6-7000 quad, win7 64bit) and it listed an older bios update F.0A.

Please provide what ever improvements I may see if I choose to upgrade.

I assume your product is HP PAVILION DV6T-7000 CTO QUAD EDITION ENTERTAINMENT NOTEBOOK PC.

HP Experts opinion is that unless there is a decreased system performance or any faults, YOU OUGHT NOT DOWNLOAD ANY BIOS/FIRMWARE UPDATES FROM HP PRODUCT SITE.
Also, change notification settings of HPSA from 'automatic download' to 'notify me', so that BIOS don't get downloaded and installed. DO NOT DOWNLOAD BIOS/FIRMWARE UPDATE FROM HPSA.

Hope this resolves your concern. Please avoid any of those updates.

The bios update F.29 was done sometime in 2013. See here. I believe The F.26 was before that one but the F.26 was replaced rather quickly with the f.29 update.

Not sure why those bios updates have been removed from that sight.
I do not have HP advisor down load updates automatically, causes too many issues. I pick the one's I want after first researching them online. Why do you say not to use that resource?

As for the hp link you attached, I also use that site to check for updates. Are you comfortable using that as a source for updating?

I think take home facts are:

DO NOT UPDATE BIOS/FIRMWARE OF YOU SYSTEM UNLESS IT IS NEEDED TO RECTIFY A FAULTY/DE-FUNCTIONING SYSTEM COMPONENTS

DO NOT UPDATE BIOS/FIRMWARE JUST BECAUSE THE LATEST VERSION HAS COME & IT WILL BE COOL TO HAVE IT

ONLY UPDATE BIOS/FIRMWARE FROM YOUR PRODUCT WEBSITE (NOT HPSA), THAT TOO IF YOUR SYSTEM IS IN GREAT NEED OF IT.

I have no idea why the updates you're referring has been removed. HPSA is too buggy eventhough it's a great tool for your computer, so be cautious you do anything related to it or from it.

I do update my other updates from my product site whenever it's available. I dont want to make a mess of everything at the end.
