HP 15 Notebook - r063tu model
Microsoft Windows 8.1 (64-bit)

I want to create Recovery Media for my HP 15 Notebook (Model r063tu) on a Flash Drive instead of DVDs (had a bad experience with DVDs in the past). Should I buy a USB 3.0 drive of 16Gb or 32Gb capacity. As this will be solely for Recovery Media creation, obviously I won't be able to use it for any other purpose, hence want to buy just as much as it is sufficient (and save costs !). Thanks.

Hi,

32 GB is needed because the recovery partition is almost always about 20 GB or more.

Hi Carlose,

Thanks for the update, esp. link to the process. Also, noticed that it requires minimum 26Gb if Flash Drive option is selected for Recovery Media Creation. So, as you said, have to buy a 32Gb one only.
