Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi everyone. I have a perplexing issue with my Windows 10 folders. I've collected a large music library (1.70 TB est) and I've also included phots of the album covers for each folder. I've fond that these photos 'move' other to folders . I'm trying to figure out how to keep these phots in the correct folder. Any options and/or solution to this issue I'd appreciated it. Thanks.

Hi @GANSR1963,

Thanks for taking an interest in the HP Support Forums! Good day! 🙂 I reviewed the post about album art moving to other folders relating to the songs that you have on your computer. It will be a delight to assist you here. 🙂

Superb effort and commendable diagnosis of the issue before posting.  Kudos to you on that score. 🙂  You are a valued HP customer and it is paramount to assist you here. I take it as a privilege to share this platform with you. 🙂

For better clarity and to assist you better I would require more information regarding this.

Please let me know if you’ve  all the songs in one folder?

Are you using Itunes or windows media player or any other third party app for your music collection?

  • First off, if you have the songs in subfolders and segregated it for convenience and easy accessibility, then the album art also gets distributed accordingly as it is linked to that specific album and not the folder.
  • So you could try moving all your albums in one folder and check.
  • If that does not work, please try to move all the pictures manually to one folder and check again. This may be a  feature of the operating system that links album art to the specific album and not the folder and that possibly cannot be altered.
  • You could contact Apple forums support if it is Itunes for further assistance.
  • This may be because of the way the operating system indexes files.

Hope this helps.   I genuinely hope the issue gets resolved without hassles and the unit works great. 🙂  Please reach out for any issues and I'll always be there to assist you always. 🙂

To simply say thanks, please click the "Thumbs Up" button to give me a Kudos to appreciate my efforts to help.
