Pavilion g7-2235dx
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

Hey guys, I would really like to Install Windows 7 on my Pavilion g7-2235dx that now has Windows 8.1 on it.  I'm going to install over 8.1 or wipe the drive first.  I also want to install in GPT, then dual boot with 8.1, but that is another Thread all together...I think LOL.

I have the iso and a valid Product Key, so how do I know I can get all the drivers for it?  I already found the Drivers for the AMD Graphics so that's all good.  Will I have to go and research each major piece of Hardware to know this?

Herre is the link to the g7

Thanks, pc

Hi:

Actually, it isn't going to be as hard as you think...

1. Download and install the amd chipset drivers and restart the PC.  You want the 1st file listed on the webpage.

That will install the smbus and usb controllers.

http://support.amd.com/en-us/download/desktop/legacy?product=legacy4&os=Windows%207%20-%2064

2.  Then you should be able to use all of the W7 x64 drivers and software from the g7z-2100 on your model, except the BIOS, firmware, and wireless card files.

3. Here's the wireless card driver...

This package contains the driver installation package for the Qualcomm Atheros AR9000 Series wireless LAN Controller in the supported notebook models running a supported operating system.
