HP - 15-ba523ur

Hi all. I have a laptop HP - 15-ba523ur.

Can I install on this laptop Windows 8.1 or can cause problems?

Drivers on the official site it is not.

You should be OK with that one too.

 

You would need to get most of the drivers directly from the hardware manufacturer's websites.

 

These drivers will install the motherboard drivers and the graphics...

 

Chipset (Wrongfully labeled as Display driver)

 

Install the 1st file listed at the top of the page and restart the PC.

Graphics:   Your choice to use the full Crimson installation or the minimal installation.

Hi:

 

You can install W8.1 on the PC, but you would have to see if the graphics driver directly from AMD works because HP does not have W8.1 drivers for that gpu.

You can use the W10 touchpad driver from your notebook's support page, because it has W8.1 & W7 drivers included in the driver file.

 

The rest of the W8.1 drivers you can get from other model HP notebooks that have the same hardware (ethernet, wireless, card reader, etc).

 

If you want to try it, make sure you create the W10 recovery media before proceeding to install W8.1.

 

If you decide to install W8.1 and need help finding drivers, let me know and I will see what I can do to assist.
