Hi again:
If you want to experiment with that ACPI\MSFT0101 device, I found a driver for W8.
So, I guess I was wrong about it not working in W8.
I have zipped it up and attached it below.
Download and unzip the file to its folder.
Don't do anything with the files in the folder.
Go to the device manager and click on the ACPI\MSFT0101 needing the driver.
Click on the driver tab. Click on Update Driver. Select the browse my computer for driver software option and browse to the driver folder you unzipped.
Make sure the Include Subfolders box is checked and see if the driver installs.
Then reboot.
If it doesn't work, then I guess it is what it is. There may be other system files the driver needs to work that are only found in W8-W10.
