Installed some updates yesterday using the HP Support Assistant, including SP74365 for Validity Fingerprint Sensor Driver, since when the sensor has stopped working completely. After booting the system the sensor light flashes but when trying to use it to login it just goes dead. It was working ok up to then. Windows Device Manager says the biometric device is working properly. There doesn't seem to be an obvious way to back out the update.

Hi,
Can you uninstall the current version from its entry in Programs and Features?

Hi,
You could try installing the previous version of the validity sensor driver on the following link.
http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp72001-72500/sp72114.exe
After this has completed, restart the notebook.
