Notebook been crashing/freezing over past few months but have always managed to get going again by restoring system from usb stick. This time however it froze then when I turned on again i got a message "RECOVERY YOUR PC/DEVICE NEEDS TO BE REPAIRED" and i can't go any further. I carried out a system test from turn on and when it checked the Hard Drive short DST check it says "failed" and then the error code 67GBX3-81R89a-XD7WMF-60WJ03.
I'm now stuck. It's still under warranty.

Hi,
Welcome to the HP Support forum. Thank you for posting !
I am sorry for the issues you experience.
I've got a bad news and a good news 🙂 Tell me which one to begin with .... ?
Well, I'll begin with the bad one - your HDD has died and is faulty. This is hardware issue. You will probably not be able to recover your data and I hope you have a good secure back-up (copy) of your most important data.
Good news is that your PC is still under active warranty and your issue can be repaired for free.
You need to contact HP Support, explain your problem, give them your code > 67GBX3-81R89A-XD7WMF-60WJ03
and they will arrange with you how to replace the faulty part.
