Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

hpsupport assistant tries to to start but says it has stopped working. tried to reinstall but says it is on a network drive>>>

Hello,

 

Thank you for posting in the HP Support forum.

 

With regards to your HP Support Assistant (HPSA) issue, please do the following:

 

- download fresh installation file from HP website >> http://www8.hp.com/us/en/campaigns/hpsupportassistant/hpsupport.html?jumpid=va_r602_us/en/any/psg/pl...

 

- run the .exe file to reinstall the application first.

 

> If it detects that you already have HPSA installed and offers repair or uninstall, choose to UNINSTALL

> if it detects nothing and just installs, please proceed to install it

 

- eventually, go to Control Panel > Programs and features

Check for the app HP Support Assistant and HP Support framework and uninstall them both.
