Just need verification of information (about our 2 laptops) provided by Geek Squad employee, who said:
" your old Pavilion dv7-4270us should NOT be left plugged in (ac) constantly as will burn up inner components, possibly
even get too hot & fry. Eventhough a slow drain will occur if unplugged, just re-plug into ac outlet before next start-up"
"your brand new Envy x360 13"convertible (W8Q19AV) is configured completely different with all new components that
are not affected when laptop is left plugged in all day; without need to 'unplug & rest' periodically like your old Pavilion"
okay, ya'll are the HP-specific EXPERTS, so I feel ya'll are the absolute BEST avenue to learn from.....as you can tell from my question, my wife keeps her current Pavilion laptop constantly plugged in. She's gets the brand new Envy tomorrow.
So, what is the BEST procedure to follow for the old Pavilion (keeping it for visiting grandkids) and the (still-in-box) Envy??
Thanks for your assistance, guidance & advice.
