When I change my login from password to pin the next time I want to log in it has reverted back to the password.  I have changed my pin numerous times and works until I have to sign in again.  You help is greatly appreciated.  Thank you in advance for your expertise.  Also, I hope I have selected the right board to post this query.

Hey @katydid2,

Thanks for getting back to me. You might need to remove your current Pin configuration and setting it back up again. Open Settings and go to Accounts.Locate the Pin option under Sign-in Options and click Remove. Then setup the Pin again.

Restart the Notebook and try the new Pin.

Let me know how this goes.

Thanks.

Hi

Thank you for visiting the HP Forums! A great place where you can find solutions for your issues with help from the community!

I came across your post about the Notebook, and wanted to assist you! I have looked into your issue about your HP ENVY x360 Notebook and issues with the Pin login not staying. I need to know what build of Windows 10 you are using. Here is a link that will help.

Try :

Settings, system, power-sleep, additional power settings-Require password on wakeup. Click on Change settings that are currently unavailable, select Require a password.

Go to settings, accounts, sign in options.

Change both your password and pin one by one.

Please let me know how this goes.

Thank you many times over!  I always try to use long passwords with the upper/lower case and symbols so trying to remember all of them is not necessarily always easy.   The pin is so much better so you made my day!  Thanks again!
