Hello,
Thank you for posting in the HP Support forum.
Please, read this article and follow the best solution for you >> http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c04718479
If you don't have the recovery image file, there are several options now:
- if your computer arrived with Windows 10 preinstalled, you can order recovery media from HP directly or from a 3rd party website such as http://www.computersurgeons.com/
>> http://www8.hp.com/us/en/contact-hp/ww-phone-assist.html
Once you receive the recovery media, follow these steps, please >> http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c04758961
- If you previously had Windows 7 or Windows 8, then you upgraded to Windows 10 and Windows 10 was activated, then you were assigned a unique machine identifier –the Digital Entitlement. So, you can also try to download the Windows 10 installation media - free from Microsoft web site
>> https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10
>> http://www.makeuseof.com/tag/ultimate-windows-10-activation-license-faq/
You can use the ISO "burned" on a DVD or USB to do a repair or clean installation of Windows 10
