Elitebook Folio G1
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

This laptop was formatted and reinstalled from a USB stick made from MS's downloadable install of Windows 10 Pro.

Windows detected all the hardware, and no separate drivers were installed that didn't come down automatically from Windows Update.

While using the laptop, Windows will suddenly start turning the display off, then on, then off.  These flickers are triggered by a key press or touching the screen.  Closing the laptop (sleep mode) then opening it again (requires pressing power button to  wake) snaps it out of this without having to do a full power down.

This issue seemed to center mainly around one of the sleep modes.

To save battery, I had windows set to blank the screen after 5 mins of inactivity.  Hybernation was set to 1 hour and Sleep was disabled.

After allowing the system to turn off the display, the problem would come about.

I stopped trouble shooting the issue after being issued an RMA and instead reinstalled Windows from scratch and didn't join my Domain this time.  After using the laptop for several hours having it blank the screen multiple times, the issue didn't return.
