Hello,I recently bought a new HP 650 Notebook. As you may know from the title of the post,I have 4 GB RAM installed, but only 929 MB usable. I run Windows 7 32 bit.I am aware that 32 bit systems can use RAM up to 4GB,but I don`t know if it can use exactly 4 GB.I really want to use all my RAM,and I am ready to change to a 64 bit system if that is the problem.

The following weblink has some good explanation:

http://superuser.com/questions/236136/installed-memory-4gb-but-only-1-93-gb-is-usable-shows-in-syste...

check in BIOS about the video memory and change it accordingly.

If you need more help, please provide the product number of your notebook.

I am an HP employee.

Vidya

Hello Vidhya,

I hope you are doing great for you customers.I personally appriciate that help 🙂

But really i wanna know that why cant we use the whole 4 GB of ram instead of getting 2.66 GB or 1.99 GB from 929 MB.

so please let me know the solution for that because i am in need of whole 4GB for my personal application in my windows.

Thanks in Advance 🙂
