Before you will do anything please be sure that you uninstalled the previous driver and software for fingerprint reader.

A How to install the fingeprint driver and AuthenTec TrueSuite software

 

 

Download the fingerprint driver and software from here.

Extract this file with WinRar.

 

Click the ' Start ' Start.png button.

In the search box type ' man ' and choose ' Device Manager '

Right clik ' Fingeprint Sensor ' and choose ' Update Driver Software... '

Select ' Browse my computer for driver software '

Double check that you have checked ' Include subfolders option ' and click the ' Browse ' button

Browse to path where is the extracted file with the driver for fingerprint reader

Click on ' Next '

You will be informed the the driver was installed with success.

B How to logon to Windows 7 by using AuthenTec TrueSuite

 

 

Click the ' Start ' Start.pngbutton.

In the search box type ' bio ' and choose ' Biometric Devices '

You will be able to check here all the informationabout the fingerprint sensor.

On left side choose ' Change biometric devices '. Check is everything set there like on the below picture

Now we will choose second option which is ' Use your fingerprint with Windows '.

 

Click twice ' Yes '.

Choose which finger you want use to logon to Windows

Enter the Windows system password

Enroll three times your finger. After every successful attempt you will see checked symbol

When the process will end with sucess then the finger color will change to this which you on the below picture.

You should be able to log to the system by using the fingeprint sensor.

This all worked great, except that the link for uninstalling the Authentec software appears to not be working ...
