BIOS update

Hi,

 

I wanne upgrade my bios but there are 2 bios updates available:  F.29 21-11-2011    &      F.23 25-11-2010.

Welke moet ik instaleren. Ik heb weinig computerkennis dus liefst een menselijke uitleg Smiley Tongue

 

HP Pavilion dv7-4090eb 

Windows 7 Home Premium  64bits

Bios F.12

I recommend that you install  BIOS version  F.29. It should include all of the other updates that have bee created since the release of your PC to marketing.

They're asking for my bios id and version...

Where do I find them?

I think version is F.12

but the id?

 Who is the "they" that you are referring to?


You can find your BIOS version by invoking the BIOS when you power up your notebook. With most recent notebooks  it is a matter of pressing the power button and then the Esc key. You will then have a startup menu. Choose F10 to enter the BIODS. On the first page you will see all of the information about your BIOS. 

 

Another method is to download and use CPU-z in Windows to see your BIOS information.

Use the Mainboard tab in CPU-z to see the information.
