Dear Customer,

Welcome to HP Support Forum and we are glad to assist you.

This is to inform you that all HP Business Notebooks such as Probooks or Elitebooks have more stringent security

than consumer models infact they don't produce 'halt codes', the password cannot be derived from the Serial Number and the code is stored in non-volatile memory so removing the RTC cell will not reset the password in this case.

Please have a look at this link.

Or replace the BIOS chip

Please Contact HP Business Notebook support they should be able to send you a customized SMC.bin file which you can use at boot to reset the password.

T-Issam.

There are no master password generators for ProBooks or EliteBooks and most Business class laptops.

You will need to contact HP.

I have a master external USB HDD with his programs that I have removed hundreds of passwords with Mazzif's help.

The program will find your UUID, Serial number and model number then generate a  .EXE file that will clear the password.

If you find it to be to technical then.

Replace the BIOS chip.

After purchase of the BIOS chip they will e-mail you the location of the Bios chip.

1) Format the flash drive as FAT32 and set the label "HP_TOOLS".

3) Unpack the SoftPaq , then extract the "Rom.cab".
4) Move the files "Rom.bin" and "efibios.sig" to the "Hewlett-Packard\BIOS\Current\".
