Can  not play Planet Earth. Should i try  another software other than HP madia smart?

what i did was cut out a piece of paper in the size of the blu ray disc with the hole in the center of course, and tape it to the disc. make sure it is flat to the disc so as not to interfere with the player. I did this after trying to watch alien on blu ray and tried to play it about 20 times. what i think it is that the blu ray is too thin and the light that reads it is just going right on through. the paper over the top of the disc worked the first time.  fett

put paper over the disc with tape. make it flat as possible and shape the paper to the disc with hole in the center. than try to play it. when you hold the disc to the light you can see through the disc.
