Hi Cya, Thank you very much for you input! Bluetooth is now perfectly working under Windows 8.1! After removal of Microsoft update (KB2887595) I installed the latest Mediatek Bluetooth driver for the Ralink BT adaptor. Download aveilable on HP's Envy 15 TS j080ez page. Attention Installation takes quite long and a small glitch appeared towards the end. I closed this error window by clicking ok and the installation continued smoothly without BSOD. :-)
Greetings, Guido Baumgartner

I had to replace my wifi card in my 3 month old Envy 17t-j000 quad and have run into many issues, but primarily it is that wifi works but bluetooth did not, which led me to believe it is a driver issue. I had previously tried downloading the most recent drivers directly from Intel to no avail. I had an online Tech Support session and that tech got into the services.msc Bluetooth Support Services Log On screen and changed the settings before he decided he couldn't fix the problem. I have supposedly been escalated to a Tech Support Case Manager, but have yet to hear from anyone in over 36 hours.
I just ran the string you suggested to come up with the Hardware ID of my card (Intel 7260AC) and it is USB\VID_8087&PID_07DC&REV_0001. Can you suggest how I should proceed?
I am BEYOND frustrated with HP at this point!
