Re: Both Shift keys are not working

Hello @Mohan_Katta,

Both shift keys do not work, is that correct? I will try to help you.

I would like you to access the BIOS menu and reset the settings. ( This will not affect your OS or files)

  • Turn off your computer and locate the F10 key on the top of the keyboard.
  • Turn the computer on and immediately start tapping the F10 key.
  • If successful you should be on the bios setup utility screen
  • Once there press the F9 key and then press F10 to save and exit

Once you have made it back to your desktop, try testing the shift keys out in different areas.

Please respond back at your earliest convenience.

Thanks

Re: Both Shift keys are not working

@Mohan_Katta,

Are there specific programs that the shift keys work/ don’t work in, or do they just don’t work at all?

Please respond back at your earliest convenience.

Thanks

Re: Both Shift keys are not working

@Mohan_Katta,

I would like you to check your BIOS version. This document will help you locate your BIOS version, when you open the document just go under step 1 for the instructions.

Once that has been verified if your version is older than  F.23 please update it. If you have update it please have the AC adapter plugged in throughout the process and follow the on screen prompts.

Please respond back at your earliest convenience.

Thanks

Re: Both Shift keys are not working

 Hi Rose.,

My Note Book is showing the BIOS version as F.26 & SMBIOS Version as 2.6.,

Thanks,

Mohan.
