The Administrative Events category is just an aggregate of all events.

If you're wanting to clear the Administrative Events, you'll need to go to each subcategory under Windows Logs, then right-click and select "Clear Log."  If it asks you to save the log, just click on "Clear Log" again.

Once you've done that for all categories, then you'll be able to see there's nothing in the Administrative Events.

There is nothing wrong with these events and the fact that they exist in the operating system.

As you mention about paying - this rings a bell here. You don't have to pay anything to anybody about this.

This sound like the popular scam / fraud story - known as "Microsoft scam" or "Ammyy admin scam". Just Google about them, read or watch videos and you'll learn more. Basically, dont' trust random calls from suspicious people who tell you something out of nowhere is wrong with you or your computer. This is bogus, scam, phishing attempt, security risk, fake. Just tell them to stop calling as you would call the police/authorities and hung up the phone.

Legitimate companies like Microsoft, HP, Symantec, etc. don't call people just out of nowhere with "bad" news. This is always scam. Unfortunaltely, good people sometimes fall in this trap.

There is a simple way to do this. Download CCleaner from https://www.piriform.com  Open CCleaner and select the Cleaner button on the left-hand side. Under the Windows setting located down the left-hand side of the white area, look for the last section (Advanced) and enable (Tick) the first option Windows Event Logs. Start CCleaner by clicking the button in the bottom right-hand corner marked Run Cleaner.  Job done!

Brilliant! Perhaps I should tell folks CCleaner is FREE to download. I have used it for some time but didn't realize it could clean the logs. Thanks very much!
