I've spent all day trying to get this stupid uefi bios and I'm getting frustrated. I downloaded the uefi installer, the software manager thing, and have tried booting from usb, and now have tried the HP_TOOLS partition option. Nothing is different on my computer. There's no way for me to physically flash it, i tried running the installers five times, all they do is setup the partition thing and say finished. There's no new fancy bios or anything, despite my multiple attempts at rebooting and checking the bios many times, or letting it boot all the way through. Can anyone please help me install this thing once and for all? I want fast boot times, and a nice gui in the bios.

The most current BIOS update for your HP Pavilion dv5-2134us Entertainment Notebook Computer is located HERE (sp60973.exe / version F.27). The HP System Diagnostics UEFI can be found HERE and the HP BIOS Update UEFI can be found HERE. The two UEFI items are not BIOS updates, they are extensible firmware updates only. Your BIOS is UEFI compatible and these two UEFI updates only update the diagnostics and BIOS failsafe extensions. If you installed these, they are most likely installed and you won't notice any changes to the BIOS.
