Wife got a new Pavilion TouchSmart 15-n287cl and she detested Windows 8. I told her I'd downgrade her to 7 after she spent some time with it and hated 8... disabled Smart Boot, got Win7 installed just fine. Booted into 7 for the first time and tried to install drivers both from the disc and from a bootable USB and got told that none of the drivers would work. Curious, as I've never had issues in the past. So I went on the HP site and viewed the drivers for my product:
Nothing of value is listed in the Windows 7 options. Has anyone had a similar experience when downgrading/when trying to find Win7 drivers for a computer that came preinstalled with Win8?

Give these a try...
First, you have to install the AMD chipset driver and reboot.
You want the first file listed on the webpage.
The graphics is the fun part. You can first try running the Latest AMD Beta driver from the link below and maybe it will install the drivers If not, then let me know and I will give you some other method to install it using that driver.
Audio: Accept the agreement. Download and install the second file on the list.
Ethernet: Install the second file on the list.
USB 3.0: Install both of these drivers...

Thanks so much, Paul. The AMD chipset was the key driver - I had downloaded and installed drivers for everything that was missing and as soon as I rebooted after the AMD installed they all initialized.
