Hi all. I have this a DV6 laptop that I've just formatted with Win8.1 pro 64bit

http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareCategory?os=4063&lc=it&cc=it&dlc=it&sw_lang=&product=4049...

Above ther's a list of availlable drivers with Win7 compatibility for my model (DV6-1341el) . I'd like know if there are some "new" version Win8 compatible of that drivers. In particular I'm interested in:

DT High Definition Audio CODEC Driver

Intel Chipset Installation Utility

Broadcom Wireless LAN Driver for Microsoft Windows 7

Realtek LAN Driver

Thank you all!

If you need drivers for Windows 8.1, please follow these steps:
1. In the search option of Charms Bar type devmgmt.msc. Select the resulted file in the left pane. This opens Device Manager.
2. Unknown devices would be listed as such and marked out with a yellow question mark.
3. Select the unknown device or other device for which you need drivers and right click to access Properties.
4. In the Properties window click on Details tab and select Device Instance Id  or Hardware ID from the drop down.
5. An alphanumeric string like this PCI\VEN_1217&DEV_7130&SUBSYS_012F1025&REV_01\4&6B16D5B&0&33F0 is the identification marker for the device.
6. Please provide this number so that we can suggest the appropriate driver.

(Error code: Update.cpp 1186)

and

ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp63501-64000/sp63814.exe

I have uploaded the drivers only my skydrive which you can access from the following weblink:

https://skydrive.live.com/redir?resid=1FFCCA6FE63FD77%21179

File with name "IDT - Audio - IDT High Definition Audio CODEC" is the audio driver. Let me know if this works.

Let me search for broadcom wireless and get back to you.

Ok. I just installed IDT Audio Codec with Windows Update. Thank you anyway. But I'm getting a strange situation. I cannot install practically no one driver by myself:

- IDT audio failed
- WLan Broadcom failed
- Synaptics touchpad - failed
- AMD HD4650 failed (now im using standard Microsoft drivers)

What's wrong with Win 8.1? I've tried to format again but without solve that.

Hi,

I have just installed Windows 8.1 on my HP ENVY 6 Notebook (Product number: B8F89EA#ACQ and since then the TrueVision Camera does not function any more. The camera is not listed under “Imaging devices” of the device manager and an unknown USB device is now listed. I did not found the driver for the camera.

I would really appreciate your help to solve this problem without having to downgrade to Windows 8.

Thank you for your consideration.

It is a real shame that HP does not answer to my requests for support (made through all possible means: forum, email, phone call and use of an HP supplier technician) since November 2013. My problem is basic (driver issue) and apparently common to numerous HP clients. All my personal and professional hardware is HP (from high end laptop to mouse). I will certainly choose another brand for my next purchases.

Hi,

Have you tried Windows 8 drivers for your machine ?
