HP - Other hardware - HP Wireless Button Driver

Hi!

  My laotop always face this irritating Windows update erorr.

This update is related to

  HP - Other hard - HP Wireless Button Driver.

  Although this is optional update from Windows Update, it is kind of irritating when you keep seeing it fail.

The error is 0x80070436. I have read up Microsoft website and trying to fix it based on what are given. But none of

them are successful.

  In my Device Manager, I can see under other device category there is 1 unknow device. I tried to uninstall it and hopefully

after a reboot, windows can auto detect it. Apparently this can't solve as well.

  Appreciate anyone can share how to fix this irritating issue.

I have encounter the same probelm and I installed the same driver, but the problem still persist. Are there any other options. Im currently tring to get my windows up to date so I can get Windows 10.

Its says : Error Found: Code 80070436 Windows Update ran into problem.

I'm having the same issue. Win 8.1 OS will not allow the wireless button driver to be installed as downloaded from MS. Your link above did install and forced a reboot, but MS is still showing an important update that has to be installed (Wireless Button Driver). It will not install from MS, and the need for the "important update" prevents the ability to update to Win 10. Please advise. MS install error code is 80070436.

I'm having the same issues with my Windows 8. I decided to finally upgrade to 8.1 and my computer won't let me. I've been trying to update everything to see if that's the problem. Right now this is the only thing that won't update on my computer. Did installing the driver fix your issue? I installed it and I'm still having the exact same issue.

Go to  http://catalog.update.microsoft.com/v7/site/Search.aspx?q=hp%20wireless%20button 

Use internet explorer 11 for using this microsoft site

Download and install/ update  windows 10 driver version 1.1.7.1 manually using device manager will solve all problems.

I am on Windows 8.  I can't get Internet Explorer 11 because it's for Windows 8.1

I can't update to 8.1 because of this one device that is showing as an unknown device and I've tried everything to get around it but the 8.1 update keeps failing every time.  So I am stuck on Windows 8.
