It can be done, but it will be not be simple. You will be able to find the chipset drivers at the Intel drivers download website. You will run into difficuly findng the AMD A70M fusion controller hub Windows 7 32-bit driver. Other manufacturers provide a driver that is compatible for 32 & 64-bit Windows 7. I will have to ask internally to see if that is also the case with the driver available for Windows 7 64-bit.

A request for internal information can take a few days so please be prepared to wait. We may get lucky and have an HP notebook specialist notice this thread, but I can't promise that will happen.

Hi, Erico. Thank  for your prompty and encouraging reply.

I forgot to tell you that I have tried to install Windows 7 Professional 32 bit OS into new HP envy 6 notebook PC, but stuck and got some problems during OS installation. The error message came out right after the Windows 7 OS try to start the first time boot up and system initialization. And it was stuck there forever, no any progress after several attempts to reboot the machine.

Actually, I 'm HP fan for several years becos I have bought HP Probook 4520s two years ago. HP probook came with two versions of Windows 7 Professional installation CD, one is for 32bits and second one is for 64bits. So I try to use this 32bit installation CD  to install into my new Envy 6 Ultrabook. But it sill doesn't work.  Hope I could give you a whole picture for you understanding my case. Thanks a lot ^.^ !!

Why do you want to change it from Windows 7 64-bit to 32-bit?

I am asking just out of curiousity.

Re: How can I install Windows 7 32 bits into "HP Envy 6 Ultrabook (Envy 6 -1022tx)"

I 'm used to use Windws 7 Pro 32bit in most of my business and daily life. Sometime I may use Windows XP as well as some of my frequestly used softwares and applications only running and supported in Win XP platform.

As for your question, I still have some 16bits softwares installed in W7 x32. As you knows, x64 platform doesn't support 16bits any more. Moreover, applications, hardwares and softwares supported in 32bits are still more prevalent  rather than 64bits in my prospect

Therefore, I would like to use and choose 32bits platform which more compatible and universal in above-mentioned components in the moment.

Had you considered running those programs in a Windows Virtual Machine? You can use VMWare or Microsoft's Virtual PC to accomplish that. Talk to your IT staff at work about it.

It is unfortunate, but installing Windows 7 32-bit is not going to be simple for the reasons I explained earlier.

I have tried Windows Virtual PC in XP mode but the performance and outcome is not acceptable and satisfactory. For instance, one of frequently used softwares called "Oxford Talking Dictionary". The voice will be repeated and overlayed every time. So, it's not an optional to me in this case.

OK. Then try VMWare.

Re: How can I install Windows 7 32 bits into "HP Envy 6 Ultrabook (Envy 6 -1022tx)"

The performance and features of VMware is much better than Microsoft VM. it's one of alteratives to this problem. But not my preferable and best option to me. It still cannot fulfill my requirement of user experiences comparing to one under Windows 7 32bit platform.

So, Can I get  those drivers for 32 bits platform based on your current l reachable resources, channels and technology?

Otherwise, If that really no other option, I could only have to  transit my whole system to 64bit platform.
