On my first reply above, I had originally posted this driver and when that didn't work, I resorted to the older one.
It is the same description...Conexant HDAUDIO Soft Data Fax Modem with SmartCP Driver. But the file # is sp33340 vice sp32210. The one you posted was from March '06, and the one I posted was from July '06.
Just slightly different versions according to the driver file 7.33.00.52 B for the one I posted, and 18.104.22.168 B for the one you posted.
I'll have to remember that, because I tried like crazy to find a driver for a forum member who had the same hardware ID's, and I came up empty. I must have missed that one somehow.
Just that slight difference made all the difference in the world.

Sorry, I didn't even notice the other modem driver was HDaudio version. The Dv1000 series has always been just a bit oddly different from most in the Dv2000/3000 and V2000/3000 which can many times use same drivers. The one I posted was one from another in the dv1000 series with Intel hardware.Sorry I don't remember the specific model,think it was a dv16??. Many of the Dv1000 series support pages are missing modem drivers,another of the oversights we see often.

dear all HP expert..
i had problrm with my compaq presario v3700 amd turion 64x2 after upgrading to window7...
2 base system device need driver.... i cant update the driver....
and sometimes there is no sounds all silent
does anyone can help me due this kind of error
so sorry for my broken english..
