Re: Pavilion tx1000 windows xp drivers

Thank you so much Paul. Thanks for bearing with me.

Re: Pavilion tx1000 windows xp drivers

Hi, Leinan:

You're very welcome.

I wish I could help you with that but if it is doing that on XP too, it must be some kind of loose connection or hardware issue.

Re: Pavilion tx1000 windows xp drivers

Paul,

I have 'upgraded' this machine  GZ385PA#ABG to XP to run legacy SW. And yes I know this is supposed to run under Win7 but lets not go there!

I have managed to get most of the Notebook drivers and the machine runs quite well but I'm having trouble finding the last four.  These are:

Coprocessor    PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_0271&SUBSYS_30BF103C&REV_A3\3&13C0B0C5&0&53
Modem Device on High Definition Audio Bus   HDAUDIO\FUNC_02&VEN_1057&DEV_3055&SUBSYS_103C30BF&REV_1007\4&1AFC31B3&0&0101
Not Available  ACPI\HPQ0006\2&DABA3FF&0
USB 2.0 Camera    USB\VID_0C45&PID_62C0\SN0001

Can you help?

Ian

[ Edited ]

Hi, Ian:

Originally that model came with Vista.

I should be able to help with most...

First, install the chipset driver and reboot.

Try this for the modem.

ACPI/0006:

I think you need the Cyberlink YouCam software for the camera. There is no driver that I know of.

http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=ob-68857-1&cc=us&dlc=en&lc=en

If that doesn't work the camera, then you can try this driver.

http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=ob-48406-1&cc=us&dlc=en&lang=e...

I hope that gets them for you.

Paul

Re: Pavilion tx1000 windows xp drivers

Thanks Paul for those links.

Well two worked just leaving the USB camera and the coprocessor. The camera I can live without but the coprocessor is central to the program I would like to run.

"Coprocessor    PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_0271&SUBSYS_30BF103C&REV_A3\3&13C0B0C5&0&53    The drivers for this device are not installed."
Where to from here? I have searched but only seemed to find everyone that seems to know how to fix it providing money is paid etc, in my view its a con.

Is there a possibility a Vista driver might work? And yes your are right it was running Vista OK as long as one did not load SP3 - BSODs became the norm after that!

Re: Pavilion tx1000 windows xp drivers

Hi, Ian:

You can try the vista driver if you want.

Try a manual install if it doesn't automatically install.

Re: Pavilion tx1000 windows xp drivers

Paul,

I have been doing a little bit of digging and apparently the coprocessor should be called NVIDIA nForce System Management Controller. Is this correct? If so do you know where I can find it on the HP site? Also, could you give me the link for the Vista driver?

Thanks

Ian

Re: Pavilion tx1000 windows xp drivers

Hi, Ian:

Before we go that route, try this XP nForce driver.

Re: Pavilion tx1000 windows xp drivers

Sadly Paul did not help, although drivers loaded OK there was a set-up loop that wanted to endlessly reload and reboot...

I exitied out second time around and all seems well. Did think it found the driver for the PCI bridge device (whatever that is!) which was something new but still has the missing driver error in Device manager. I had my hopes up there for a while.

So looks like we try the Vista driver next?

Re: Pavilion tx1000 windows xp drivers

Sorry that didn't work. I was hoping it would.

Here is the link to the vista chipset driver.  If that doesn't work, Im afraid there is nothing more I can do to help you.
