I am trying to use the HP ProtecTools Password Manager with Chrome 11.0.696.77, in a EliteBook 8540w with Windows 7-64 PRO.
When I use the shortcut crtl-win-h, and click the Add Logon button from within chrome to register a login, it does not seem to recognize any screen as a logon screen, no error reported, it just acts like it is not a logon window.
1)Do I have to use a different browser?, I have been able to register one site with IE (32) but not quite easy to operate.
2)Is there a tutorial for HP ProtecTools?

Here is the Protect Tools user manual for your notebook. I do not know anything about the program. I uninstall it on all of my notebooks as I am not concerned with securing any data on it. And I am concerned with locking myself out of my own PC.
I only know this... If you mess up, and use protect tools for power on passwords and things like that, and you didn't register your password with the HP Sparekey program, and you forgot your password, you may as well throw your new notebook in the trash. That is because the security program does an excellent job of protecting your notebook from unauthorized use.
Please read the guide carefully, and type initial passwords slowly.

From my experience/experiment, it works with Internet explorer but not in Chrome. I use install ietab in chrome which will load the web site with ietab and the password manager works perfectly.
