How does one order a Recovery Kit for the dv7 Entertainment PC laptop?
I need to reinstall the HP software and Vista OS?
The instructions to order kits provided under HP Support on hp.com do not agree with the webpages displayed by following those instructions.

Hi:
I do not see that you can order recovery disks online for that model anymore.
You can try calling HP at this number ... 1-(800)-474-6836, and see if they can still be ordered by phone.
If not, you can still get a set from this non-HP vendor at the link below.

Called HP at the number provided. They no longer manufacture the laptop or any of the software and therefore do not have any recovery cd's. The computersurgeons link appears to have what I am looking for.
Thanks for the information Paul.

You can order a recovery kit from HP I did in Jan 10, 2017
Go to HP.com
http://support.hp.com/us-en/products/laptops/pavilion-notebooks/
find your note book
set the OS and the Windows version
click change button
The recovery disk is at the bottom of the list
Good luck (I jst bought mine $40
Comes on a USB stick In the bios you have to enable the floppy disk boot
Now the bad news and why i am reading the forum
Recovery is three stages
Recovery kit, the first stage completed, the second stage completed 100%. The third stage immediately reports an error “cannot find D:\system.sav\UTIL\Rstone.exe”. Still working this out.
