Firstly i started getting this error massage on startup "System Fan (90b)"

i looked it up in HP site and i found several tips to solve that.

one of the tips was to check your Bios version and Update it to the latest.

i followed the steps thoroughly.

1- check my bios version/ date.

2- check my cpu model.

3- opened HP website, and let it Detect my Laptop Model (and it did correctly).

      HP ENVY 14-2136nr Notebook PC
      Model:LM764EA#A2N

4- choose my Operating System (Windows 7 X64)

5- check Bios Driver and download it.

6- all seemed perfect and once i try to install the driver i get that error massage (this bios is not for your notebook!!)

HOW COME ?!!

HI @Ibraham-hashem,

I see you have a HP ENVY 14-2136nr  notebook and you were getting the 90B fan error. One of the suggestions is to update the bios but when you tried you received the message that it was not for your notebook.

First I would run the  HP Support Assistant to aid with updates and resolving issues.

Have you checked for viruses and malware?

I would try restoring the bios and then retry the update.Restoring the BIOS

If that is unsuccessful, I would go the bios screen and when you look at the bottom you should see an option to restore defaults.  Please restore the defaults.

Now try to install the bios update.  Updating the BIOS

I hope this helps.
