Hi Bobster93,

Install the below drivers. Even though these are for windows 8, it should work for Windows 7 as well.

1) Realtek Card Reader Driver

http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp61001-61500/sp61333.exe

After installing the driver, restart the notebook. If the above driver does not work, try sp48885.exe

http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp48501-49000/sp48885.exe

2) AMD Chipset and Video driver:

Install the below AMD driver and restart the Notebook(restart it must):

http://www2.ati.com/drivers/mobile/14-4-mobility-win7-win8-win8.1-32-dd-ccc-whql.exe

If the above driver does not work, try this one:

http://www.amd-drivers.com/download-RadeonHD8330-mobility-driver-for-Windows7-32bit.html

At the end of the page you will find download button.

Hi ugays,

You need to install Realtek Card Reader driver.

For windows 8 & Windows 7:

http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp61001-61500/sp61333.exe

Install the driver and reboot the notebook. Even though driver says it is for windows 8, it should work for windows 7 as well.

If that does not work, try

http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp48501-49000/sp48885.exe

Once the installation is done reboot the notebook and check the status in Device Manager.

Good luck.

To interpret any Device ID string go to this website

http://www.pcidatabase.com/vendor_details.php?id=1697

You will need the Vendor and Device ID from the string

For example

PCI\VEN_10EC&DEV_5209&SUBSYS_1670103C&REV_01

The Vendor ID is 10EC and the Device ID is 5209
