HP Recommended
After months of trials with no result I finally succeeded in reinstalling HP Support Assistant on my Pavilion h9-1201el.
What I did is as follows:
a) download the latest version from
http://h18021.www1.hp.com/helpandsupport/hp-self-support.html
b) decompress the file (SPxxxx) in a folder
c) launch the command prompt
d) from the command prompt go to the directory where the file SPxxxx was decompressed
e) type the command: setup /x
The installation process started and was completed in few minutes, then I open HP Support Assistant and it was running as before!
