Re: hp pavilion sleekbook 15-b020et win7

Did you happen to identify the devices installed in your sleekbook before you decided to switch to Windows 7?

Most of the drivers for the HP ENVY Sleekbook CTO 6z-1000  will work. It has the same chipset  (Intel HM77 Express) that your notebook does.

the drivers for Windows 7 are here. Download drivers to a usb flash drive. Install the chipset driver first and then the audio driver. Install the HP support assistant and run the tune-up application to find the other drivers (especially wireless).

Unfortunately, it did not work again. I installed the driver for intel chipset and nothing happened after that hp tune up did not find any updates.

Hi:

That is no real easy way to find the drivers for your model.

First, I recommend you try the drivers and software from the dv6t-7000 which has the same chipset and nvidia gpu.

DO NOT USE ANY BIOS OR FIRMWARE DOWNLOADS FROM THIS MODEL

Re: hp pavilion sleekbook 15-b020et win7

So you didn't create recovery media when you set up the notebook?

I take it that you realize now that you should have done that.

Did you format the whole disk when you installed windows 7 or did you leave the recovery partition alone? Leaving the recovery partition intact would have been doing it the smart way.

Try pressing the power button and then tapping the Esc key to enter the startup menu. In the startup menu there should be an option system recovery  that can be invoked with the F11 key. If you can get to that point then you should be able to enter the recovery manager and perform a factory image recovery

Re: hp pavilion sleekbook 15-b020et win7

I had to delete everything in order to install win7. So i dont have my licensed win8 as well and i cant use win7 which is riddiculous.  I still could not find any driver which makes me able to use wireless. And when i try to install gpu driver, it says that i dont have the chipset.

Re: hp pavilion sleekbook 15-b020et win7

I'm pretty sure you can get W7 to work on your model.

Use this chipset driver first and reboot.

https://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?agr=Y&ProdId=816&DwnldID=20775&keyword=chipset+ins...

Then do the following and I will post the link to the wireless driver you need.

Go to the device manager, find the Other Devices category, and click on the Network Controller needing drivers.

Then click on the Details tab at the top of the network controller window.

Now you see a Property drop down list and it is defaulted to Device Description.

Drop down on that and select the second item on the list (Hardware ID's).

Post the top string of characters that begin with PCI\VEN.

Then tell me what other drivers you need and I'll see what I can do.

Re: hp pavilion sleekbook 15-b020et win7

Let's just try as is.

If we don't get far, reinstall W7 and we'll load the drivers I think you need from scratch.
