Screen is blank. Laptop seems to work OK when hooked to an outside monitor. Screen just failed to light up when started. There was no warning of any kind. Just did not come on at startup. Is this something I can fix myself or is it a candidate for the junkyard.email is [Moderator edited email]

I grasp that your notebook did an auto shut down and now when you try to power it back on you get a black screen and the Caps Lock is blinking 3 times.
