yes, i have 60 Gb of hidden memory. i check users properties and i have 83.3Gb of memory in it, my User folder had 80.1 Gb of memory in it, so i go into it, and all of the folder i go into have a combined of around 20 Gb of memory.
where is the 60Gb that is stealing my hard drive. im about to switch to a mac because everything about it seems to be better then an hp.
Please tell me how to get rid of this 60Gb of hidden memory and i will stay with h.p, give me a reason to continue buying hp. i cant stand not being able to download things because of this hidden memory, i want to use my laptop and not be a slave of it.

I had a similar problem recently. If you open windows help and type in 'hidden files' in the search box it will allow you to show all the hidden files and folders on your hard drive and you can see exactly what is taking up all the storage. I use a lot of CAD programmes and they were all taking up a load of space with autosave files etc. I removed all of these along with other temporary files and things were back to the way they should be.
Hope this helps fella.
