Re: ATI Catalyst Install Manager and catalyst Control Center Help

Hi again,

Don't worry everything will be ok with Your graphic card.

You may always download first all Win7 drivers on Your HDD and after upgrade install as a first chipset driver and then drivers for graphic card.

That's all.

Believe it's very easy.

Ps.

I'm glad that You thought about backup. It's always good thing to do it before big changes.

Re: ATI Catalyst Install Manager and catalyst Control Center Help

Help!!  I followed the instructions per the post from 01-25-2010 05:07 PM on how to uninstall the ATI Catalyst Install Manager.  I restarted the laptop as instructed per the dialog box for the change to take effect, and now I do not have any video.  Just a blank, black screen at start up!

At which point you start to see a black screen?

After switching on the computer you see only blank screen or is it showing up while system is starting to run?

Which system are you using?

Ps.

Copy and paste in your next reply this solution which you used.

I just can't find this post.

After switching on the computer I only see a blank screen... no HP logo, Windows logo, nada.  OS = Vista Home Premium

Re: ATI Catalyst Install Manager and catalyst Control Center Help

I'm having a similar problem with my HP Pavillion dv7-1463nr running the latest Win Vista 64 bit. Please see my message thread with my user id: mquartero.

Per the thread, I've installed the latest software as recommended by HP -- file 11-12_mobility_vista_win7_32-64_ccc. This did not fix my problem. The solution given to me was to turn off CCC in MSCONFIG, Startup section. This only keeps CCC from running and not giving the error message.

Would the driver in the previous message(s) work on my system?

Thank you.
