Hi,
I have a dv7t-6c00 CTO Quad Edition laptop and I have a general question about the BIOS settings. They seem to be somewhat limited. I can't see any info in the BIO about CPU settings, RAM settings, enabling/disabling second hard drive (which I installed the other day), even amending the date and time seems to be impossible to do within the BIOS.
Is this deliberate? Is there some kind of "super admin" BIOS I've not yet managed to access? It's been a while since I've bought a new computer but I wasn't expecting to not be able to get my hands dirty with the BIOS config settings. I haven't got the machine with me at the moment to double-check but I think the BIOS is Insyde H20, can't remember the version number.
Thanks

This is normal for most HP consumer notebooks, they have a very limited bios, date and time should be able to be changed though.
