Bad Image Errors when opening Word, ITunes, Etc

Whenever I go to open programs such as any of the Microsoft Office Applications, Itunes, Norton AntiVirus, or others, this message comes up: Bad Image: ____(location of file)____ is either not designed to run on Windows or it contains an error. Try installing the program again using the original installation media or contact your system administrator or the software vendor for support. I do not have the original installation media since most of it came on the computer when I bought it.  Itunes says its "Error 7 (Windows error 193)".

I have Windows Vista if that helps.  I have run a system restore and it could not complete it, I have run a system check and that did not fix anything. Please help!

click start >> type cmd >> right click on the command prompt at the results section >> select "run as administrator" >> type sfc /scannow and press enter

I ran the scan.  This is what it said:

Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some of them. Details are included in the CBS.Log windir\Logs\CBS\CBS.log . For example C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CBS.log

Any ideas of how to fix this problem?

Remove all floppy disks, CDs, and DVDs from your computer, and then restart your computer using the computer's power button.

Press F8 when the HP logo appears. If you miss it, you need to try again by waiting until the Windows logon prompt appears, and then shutting down and restarting your computer.

On the Advanced Boot Options screen, use the arrow keys to highlight Repair your computer, and then press Enter.

Select a keyboard layout, and then click Next.

On the System Recovery Options menu, click System Restore.

System restore did not work.  Any other ideas?

first take a backup of ur imp data....

press F11 during startup and follow instruction..

are you using the OEM OS shipped with the PC
