Re: Boot problem

I have a 6820s Compaq Notebook that gives me blue screen once in a while for apparently no reason. Now I have to deal with a boot problem that consists in a urge to first run hdd check (with F10) or to skip this and run the OS. If i chose to run the hdd check, I fail in a second and the advice I get there to  fix this is to change HDD.. Is this the only choice I have? I run XP Sp3 . My machine is since 2007 but I still want to use it.. I recently changed the fan and is nice to work with it.. What should I do ? Thanks.

Re: Boot problem

When the hdd starts failing there is no option but to replace it.
