Hi,

Your notebook by default is set to SATA AHCI mode, so I really do not understand your question.

Could you explain what your are trying to do and why?

Re: Change SATA to AHCI

There is no way to to disable SATA AHCI.

This option is not available in BIOS.

Re: Change SATA to AHCI

There is an option in Dell bios says SATA OPERATION and you have to choose one of the followin (Disabled---ATA----AHCI)

BUT I CAN'T FIND THIS IH HP PAVILION DV6-6050SE. IT COSTS ME TOO MUCH MONEY. I consider that  I lost my money if I don't figure how to do it. Thanks.

Re: Change SATA to AHCI

As I already said you can't do this in this model.

This is why I have made guide about slipstreaming SATA drivers.

Re: Change SATA to AHCI

Hi

I would like to change my SATA mode to AHCI too; my laptop is an Envy 4 1050, is that set by default to AHCI, as in the pavilion above? Where can I check those specs in the future?

Thanks!
