Compaq CQ45 106au Presario

Hey, i have a CQ45 106au presario. it refuses to start up. operating system is Windows XP. i used to put it on sleep mode a lot. then one day it just dint start. when i try to power up only the lights come on and te cd drive makes a certain sound. no display and on pressing the keys the num lock and caps lock lights blink and continue blinking . they blink forever . and its difficult to tell whether its in groups of 1, 2,3,4 or 5 as the pause between the blinks is the same!
