Compaq Evo N150 Windows 2000 drivers needed

I run a few different HP / Compaq systems and have never run into this problem
0 Drivers available for this OS

the last time I had any problem with driver support
was trying to get the integrated Ethernet port to work on a Presario 6330
- though every other driver was available on the site

my oldest unit is a Compaq DeskPro XL 6150 PentiumPro 166MHz  from 1996

and all the drivers are still available on the site for it:

» Microsoft MS-DOS
» Microsoft Windows 2000
» Microsoft Windows 3.1
» Microsoft Windows 95
» Microsoft Windows 98
» Microsoft Windows NT 3.51
» Microsoft Windows NT 4.0
» OS/2

The drivers page for the EVO N150 (c. 2001) has nothing for win2K :robotsad:
only links to win98 / ME drivers are on the page

The sticker on the unit says:
Designed for MS
Win 2000

Win Me

I was searching last week, and found an old post asking why there were only win2K drivers on the site,

so I know they exist,  any ideas as to how to get at them?

I even found an online HP doc

with the following:

Compaq Portables preloaded with Windows XP:
(Evo Notebook N150, Evo Notebook N105, Evo Notebook N160, Evo Notebook N200, Evo Notebook N400c, Evo Notebook N600c, Presario 1700, Presario 2700xx, Presario 700xx)

any help / ideas would be great
even if it's just the SP------.exe numbers as I can get those from the FTP site

Re: Compaq Evo N150 Windows 2000 drivers needed

Hi:

What drivers are you missing now?

It seems to me that Windows 2000 would have installed almost everything.

Did you try the XP drivers off the n160?

Re: Compaq Evo N150 Windows 2000 drivers needed

Thanks for the reply;

Actually win2K doesn't recognize:

- the Ali MB Chipset

- the Ali integrated Graphics

- the sound card

- the NIC

- etc.

I don't remember what else,

when I first got it there was a bad 256MB RAM module installed

I installed a different stick but it's only a 128MB

so it's been a while since I've done anything with it
but I'll probably drag it off the shelf again in the near future
(before MS pulls the plug completely on win update for win2K)

The SP numbers are correct. I still have the CD from 2001. Do you want the files?
