Connecting HP Officejet Pro L7680 All-in-one to new wireless Dell computer with windows 7

HP customer support has been unable to chat me through to activate my printer on a new dell wireless computer with windows 7.  The issue seems to be firewalls and even when they are disabled no connection was possible.  Any help would be gratefully appreciated
