You can take a screen shot,
It should look like the folowing image.
Now do you see the difference I am talking about? These are normal Windows kernal crashes withou an accompanying blue screen.

2. Select the Diagnostic section.

If that is so then you have found the problem. You have a failed hard drive.

Hi minita8, thanks to replied my post and follow the steps that i wrote to u.....unfortunably, the test´s result says that u need to replace the HD from ur pc to fix the prob....maybe u have a doubt beacuse the notebook works fine for a while, but some sectors from the disk are damaged, its pretty sure....i suggest u go with the tech person that replaced the HD from ur laptop to request him the new replace to the HD, beacuse it was a failure in a short time....good luck ![]()

Hi,
Did the technician give you the original hard disk?
That is where the operating system recovery partition is located. If he didn't give you the hard drive then he owes you a Windows operating system.
When you start your PC do you see the F11 option to recover your PC?
Did the technician gice you an HP Recovery disc set made from the recovery partition?
Best regards,
erico

Hi, unfortunably, if the BIOS HD Test show a error message there´s nothin that u can u do to fix the prob, only the replace of the hard disk.....its too much important that u ask to the technician for the new HD´s warranty, beacuse u told that it´s new.....and maybe it have a warranty....Virus just attacks the operating system files, they no damage the physical state of the disk, this is the reason for discard that this specificly prob isn´t a virus trouble....u can feel free to comment any doubt....cheers ![]()
