So i'm in a bind and not sure which software to use for my laptop. Pros and cons of each version of Windows?

If you don't know enough to know which you want follow the herd and take Vista. It's not like you have a lot of choice unless you are pretty savvy and the downgrade gets harder with each round of new models.
