Bump! Also need help with this..
First problem is the BIOS, I can't configure like anything except boot order in my bios, sucks big time. How do I access the common bios?
Second problem is when booting from XP-disc, I don't get the first screen when loading all files and the "press F6 for raid-drivers" normally appear, this is why I cannot use my usb-floppy to add proper AHCL/RAID-drivers.. anyone?
Then the drivers, found 1-2 on HP support web.. But I guess I can google it..
I'm quite dissapointed with my HP/Compaq-laptop so far

1. The BIOS settings in notebook are limited. What kind of setting are you wishing for?
2. Are you using XP-SP3 CD installer? Try using XP-SP2 you'll see the normal XP instalation process.
Try Nlite to sliptream sata driver.
3. HP do NOT support XP for their consumer notebook, thats why this forum were flooded by XP downgraders. If you are looking for XP notebook buy HP bussiness models.
Please post if you have any difficuties regarding XP instalation for your model.
Pavilion DV2922TX, XP-SP3 32bit, Intel T5750 2.0Ghz, Nvidia Geforce 8400M GS with 128MB, 4GB 667 DDR2, 250GB HDD

I'm looking for settings for settings to enable/disable hardware, sata operations, wireless configuration, change boot-config for example.. just the standard bios-settings that all computers have, where can I find this? In this case I was looking for the SATA config..
yepp xpsp3 installer.. it has always worked fine and I usually use the "press F6", however on this computer, it doesn't show anything..
I could slipstream this and get the drivers from HWIDs, however I feel it's a bad approach to customers to actively limit bios and stuff. This strange behaviour when trying to install XPsp3 also make me wonder...
I'll return this laptop and get another brand, it wasn't what I expected. It lack essential functions and limits my freedom.
However, thanks for your help!
