Hello,
I have notbook DV4t1400 CTO, but can not sussesfuly install Windows SP, make boot using: SP1, SP2, SP3 the same error was happening Blue Scream.
It´s normaly, or I need drivers to install XP SO ???

Hey Guys, Sorry to disturb but i just want to tell you that i have the same problem.
i like to leave the Vista OS on my Laptop to use also the recovery CDs, But the problem is "I should ignore about 180 GB capicity of drive C:\ and that's not acceptable."
I NEED HELP...

Daniel has the solution posted as a 'Sticky' at top of the forum>>>
You need to slipstream Your Sata drivers (only ICH9M-E/M SATA AHCI Controller) with nLite.
Here is guide how to do it and here are Sata drivers . Just unrar this drivers with winrar.
Be sure also that You are using at least WinXP SP2 version. If you haven't got SP2 version here you can download this service pack and here You've got guide how to slipstream this file with XP written by nLite.
In nLite You can even burn Your new XP CD with those changes.

Before you format your hdd and install XP_find the folder C:\SwSetup which contains apps & drivers that may be useful later.Burn that folder to dvd,
After installing XP, read through the other 'Sticky' at top of forum General XP Downgrade Guide . Part 3 in particular applies to your model.

Hello All,
In fact i have another kind of problem with XP installation,I did formatting on my H.D.D(DV4t-1400) for installing the XP but when ever I put windows cd for setup after a while blue screen appear,I try for several time but still BLUE SCREEN appea.r
Please if there is any solution let me know .

in fact I can not see the setup process cause of this error.
