Hello,
I recently made an XP media center 2005 partition on my Pavilion dv6864ca laptop for dual boot. I have the dual boot system
working correctly, my problem is that i'm missing drivers for XP, so it's not working properly.
I searched the HP drivers section for my laptop, however it's missing important drivers. I would greatly appreciate it if anyone
could tell me where i could find the drivers I need for my Windows XP partition.
Solved! Go to Solution.

How to install QuickPlay in Win XP:
First:
You need to make a registry hack to install it:
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\QPFlag]
"QPFlag"=dword:00000003
"@"=""
If you dont know how to do it, just download,QuickPlay.zip, extract it with WinRar or WinZip, double click on it to run it.
Second:
QPW (QuickPlay) version 2.3 for XP here
Update to the final version of QPW for XP here
Skin update here

You're welcome, glad the guide helped.Jonah put together the guide because so many were downgrading HP laptops, and we were typing the same thing over and over for the dv6000/dv9000 AMD models.
Once you have XP running well with all drivers installed, make an Image of hdd_to easily be able to reinstall later if needed, no more driver searches.I have been using Macrium lately and it is very good. Will backup to external USB hdd, DVD, network drive, etc. It also creates a bootable cd to boot from and restore your entire OS in the event of problems.
Macrium Reflect Disk Imaging:
