Downgrading dv6-1253cl to Win XP Pro 64

Hi All

I was able to install win xp pro 64 on this laptop (after building a bootable CD using nlite and SATA drivers)

I am now missing drivers for the following components

1. ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4650 (1GB RAM)

2. HP Launch Buttons

3. HDMI Audio

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you

Renden

Re: Downgrading dv6-1253cl to Win XP Pro 64

I am interested in downgrading also to XP Pro.  Do you need to install 64 bit version to support the multiple processors?  I actually have the 64 bit version, so I could use it, but I have never installed the 64 bit edition so I don't know much about when to use it vs the 32 bit version or why.

I am curious to know whether you find the remaining drivers too.  I would like to join my company domain also which is another reason why the Vista Home Premium is not ideal for me.

I will have to support this laptop on my small company network so I think it will be easier just to have it as XP like the rest of the desktops and laptops.

Good luck, and please post your results with respect to your level of happiness with the downgrade.

Thanks,

Bruce
